Most water tanks come standard with a 2” bottom mount female pipe thread bung. (fig.1)

Install a 2” to 1”  reducing bushing in that bung. (fig.2 - P/N 28-683W)

Then install a 1” hose barb (fig.3) into the reducing busing (90 degree barb is P/N PB10B or a straight barb is P/N PB10S)

Then you will install on that barb a 1” Non-crushable hose (fig. 4 - P/N 4531 Sold per foot)

Another 1” P/N PB10S straight barb (fig.5) is installed on the inlet side of our recommended filter P/N 3799 - (fig.6)
(fig.5)
(fig.6)
You’ll never have to disassemble the filter to clean it out!  Simply turn the red ‘clean-out’ knob and let it run until the water runs clean.
(fig.8)
(fig.9)

(fig.7)
Now in fig.7 we will be reducing the pump side of the water filter (outlet) to the proper hose barb.  This barb will be the same size as the inlet side of your pump (fig.9).

Tyically pumps producing less that 8 GPM have a 1/2” inlet which means that you will need a 1” to 1/2” reducing bushing P/N 28-671 (fig.7) or if the inlet of the pump is 3/4” you will need a 1” to 3/4” reducing bushing P/N 28-672 (fig.7)
Remember the top two ports on most pressure washer pumps is high pressure - out to unloader, hose, gun, etc.
